Belgium's reputation for lace-making is legendary. In Bruges we visit with this group travel the Kant Centre to discover different types of hand-made lace, whilst in Brussels we explore the chic Antoine Dansaert district with its multitude of designer shops and boutiques, the Costume & Lace Museum, and the fascinating Textile Museum in Ghent tracing the history of the textile industry and its importance in Belgium's past.

D1 Bruges and the Lace-Making Centre (100 km)
Arrive of the group in Bruges, oft called "Venice of the North". Lunch then a guided tour along the canals. Visit to the Kant Centrum, or Lace Centre, a world reference in the art of hand-made lace-making, where you can admire a demonstration. Dinner of the group and overnight in Brussels.
D2 Brussels Fashion (30 km)
Visit the Costume and Lace Museum, housed in a pair of 18th century gabled houses, and enjoy the collection of old lace, costumes, embroideries and 18th century accessories. Lunch  of the group then a tour on foot of the Dansaert district and its stylish shops, the luxury glass ceilinged shopping arcades of the St Hubert Royal Galleries, and the Stunning "Grand Place", or main square. Free time for purchases. Dinner of the group and overnight.
D3 Ghent and the Textile Museum (60 km)
Direction Ghent and the Textile Museum, set in a converted cotton mill. Learn more about Ghent's role as a major player in the textile industry from the 17th century onwards, and the town's famed quality sheets. A boat ride on the canals is an optional extra. Lunch of the group.
