Arrival of the group in the late morning in the capital. Lunch in a typical restaurant and guided tour of Vilnius: the Baroque Basilian gate of the monastry, the Gediminas Castle, the Gate of the Dawn, holy place for thousands of Catholics, and the beautiful St-Peter and St-Paul's churches. Dinner and lodging of the group in Vilnius
This exhibition was one of the reason why Vilnius was nominated as a capital of Culture: as a Russian citizen, a sovietic officer costumed-guide will lead you through this impresive bunker, the time of a visit. Lunch and departure of the group for Trakai, capital of the country during the Middle Age : discover this enchanting site with its 4 lakes that sparkle among the forests and the fields, and the magnificient red bricks castle, built on an island during the 14th century. Return of the group to Vilnius. Dinner and lodging of the group.
Guided tour of Kaunas, the second biggest city, settled on a lakebanks, with its Old Town that counts as many churches as Vilnius. Discover the fortified castle, the town hall dominated by the belfry. Lunch and visit of the magnificient Baroque Pazaislis Monastery, built during the XVIIth century under Italian masters supervision. Back to Vilnius, dinner and lodging of the group. Optional Folk night.
For your last morning in the city, free time or optional excursion to the centre of Europe, monument designed by Gedeminas Jokubonis, a pillar of white granite, on top of which a crown of stars stand.. Lunch of the group.
