* Remiremont : Venetian Carnival of Remiremont
With more than 200 sumptuous costumes and troupes of dancers and musicians, le Carnaval des Vosges is unique. A procession of lights in the tradition of the city of Doges : long capes ou « tabarro », strange hats and splendid masks combine together with elegance and originality.
Dates
Arrive for lunch near Vittel. In Bulgnéville, discover a museum looking at the local traditions and old crafts of the region. Continue on to Ville-sur-Illon. Visit a Vosgian brewery museum and sample some of the beer. Dinner. Accommodation in the Epinal area.
Depart for Remiremont, gateway to the Ballons de Vosgues Regional Nature Park. Free time to visit the historical town centre. Traditional lunch. At 2 p.m., the locals come out in their magnificent costumes. At 4.30 p.m. the light and sound show begins and highlights the beauty of the masks and costumes around the church and Abbey Church. Dinner. Accommodation.
Discover the city of images and visit the Imagery of Epinal and its eco-museum retracing the last 200 years of images and printing .Continue on to Mirecourt. On option, visit to the House of Lace. Lunch.
