* Fiddlers Festival in Ribeauville
One of Alsace’s most vibrant and colourful, and oldest, of festivals has been taking place annually in Ribeauville village, in the heart of the wine-growing region, for over five hundred years. The Fiddlers Festival, or Pfifferdaj as its known locally, unites musicians from the surrounding villages, but also troubadours and jugglers, knights and fire-throwers, and all those who wish to share in this fun-filled mediaeval festival.

Another option is a trip to the Monkey Sanctuary and the 300 strong troop of macaques free to roam in this protected area of Vosges Forest. Dinner and overnight.
