D1 Friday: Troyes & Chaource Cheese (60 km)
Lunch in Troyes. Stroll through the picturesque old town in the company of a local guide to best admire its 16th century half-timbered houses and Renaissance period private mansions. Visit an artisan making the local Chaource cheese and do some sampling. Dinner and overnight.
D2 Saturday: Champagne Festival (100 km)
Champagne flute in hand, enjoy the street party atmosphere of the Champagne Festival in a string of villages, each cellar opening their doors, and bottles, to those who wish to taste. Lunch during the day. Dinner and overnight.
D3 Sunday: Clairvaux Abbey (70 km)
The Cistercian Abbey of Clairvaux is a real architectural masterpiece in a beautiful old forest area. Visit the 12th century ruins then enjoy lunch in the peaceful setting of the Monks former home.
