D1 Beaune Hospices and Burgundy Wines (20 km)

In Beaune, Burgundy’s wine capital, take a guided tour of the stupendous “Hospices” (former hospital complex) with a group, a 15th century work of art blending Flemish and Burgundy styles, with the famous brightly coloured tiled roof of the Hotel Dieu. Stop for some tasting at a wine cellar.  Dinner and overnight.   

D2 Wine Route and the Imaginarium (50 km)

Join the Wine Route heading towards Nuits St Georges. Visit with a group the 12th century wine cellar, and wine presses at Vougeot Castle, headquarters of the Tastevin brotherhood who promote all things Burgundian notably the wine. Lunch then tour the Imaginarium given over to all the different ways of making sparkling wines the world over, followed by some wine tasting.  Dinner and overnight.

D3 Burgundy Canal and Commarin (120 km)

All aboard in Pouilly en Auxois for a commentated cruise on the Burgundy canal with a group,  a leisurely journey via the tunnel and one of the many locks, with a selection of local products to taste on board. Lunch then visit  Commarin Castle famous for its sumptuous 16th century tapestries. Chateauneuf is the last halt. Free time to explore this picturesque village and enjoy the views over the Auxois and Morvan countryside. Dinner and overnight.

D4 Dijon (40 km)

Guided tour of Dijon, one time capital of the Dukes of Burgundy, with a fabulous heritage from its glorious past including numerous churches and town houses, the great old covered market and magnificent Ste Benigne cathedral. Lunch.
