* Italy - Dolomites : the italian Tirol

Arrive at Lake Garda where we make a lunch stop in Sirmione before continuing towards the southern, Italian part of the Tyrol. Check-in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in the region of Brenner.

A day out with guide in the Dolomites. Marvel at the lush green valleys, alpine lakes, forests and high summits. Our route takes us in the direction of Canazei, via the Ega Valley, the Caress lake and the Costalunga pass. Lunch is in Canazei then we continue over the Sella pass and Val Gardena to Ortisei, where we stop to visit a wood sculpture workshop and to take a look at the little village and its craft shops. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

In the company of your guide, set off for Bolzano, where you enjoy a guided tour of the town with its 16th century Gothic church and famous market square.  Lunch is taken in a local restaurant then on to Bressanone. Free time to explore the mediaeval town, the cathedral and palace of the Prince-Bishop's who ruled the town, indeed much of the southern Tyrol, for centuries. To end the day we sample some local wine and delicacies in a local wine cellar. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight
