Tucked between Switzerland and Austria, Liechtenstein has long been renowned as a tax haven but it also has lovely mountain scenery like the neighbouring Grisons region in Switzerland, setting for one of the world's best known and most loved tales, that of Heidi.

D1 Chur Region

Journey to Chur, capital of the Grisons region, and check-in to our hotel in the region. Dinner and overnight.Group trip.

D2 Heidi Country (130 km)

The day begins with a visit with group to a cheese dairy and some sampling of its produce. Time then for lunch. The story of Heidi captured the hearts of many a reader, the story of an orphan sent to live with her grandfather in an isolated but idyllic mountain village. Maienfeld is the setting of the story and you can visit her birthplace. We continue through the Tamina Gorges to Bad Ragaz, then on to the hotel. Dinner and overnight

D3 Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein (100 km)

Day excursion with a group to Liechtenstein. Our visit centres around Vaduz, home to the Royal Family, where we enjoy a guided tour of the Castle overlooking the town, the Cathedral, and city centre with its narrow pedestrian streets. After lunch you can wander at leisure before we carry on to a local wine cellar for a guided tour and wine tasting. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

D4 Chur / Arosa Express (50 km)

Situated at 1800 metres, Arosa is a popular ski resort and holiday centre. We take a train up to this alpine town with free time to explore before lunch.  Back in Chur you have the afternoon to discover the town, capital of the Grisons region and one of its oldest settlements, full of delightful houses, charming squares with fountains and narrow streets. A guided tour is an option. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.Group trip .
