The Guggenheim Museum is a highlight of any visit to Bilbao, as much for its modern architecture as its contents. But Bilbao also has very pretty old quarter as we discover on our guided tour. After lunch we visit the seaside town of Castro Urdiales, full of lovely parks and gardens at the foot of the Cantabrian Mountains. Check-in at our hotel in the Santander/Suances area. Guided tour of Santander, capital of the Cantabria region. A tourist train ride is optional. Lunch then on to the little spa town of Puente Viesgo, famous for its prehistoric caves. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.Group trip.

Day outing, including lunch, with our guide, to the Picos de Europa mountains, furrowed with dramatic gorges and culminating at a height of 2519 metres. From Fuente De you can take a cable car (extra charge) to the top. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight.

Guided excursion to the beautiful old town of Santillana del Mar, famed for its Collegiate Church. Free time to explore the town, or an optional visit to the prehistoric Altamira caves and their museum. Lunch. We continue to Comillas, sitting pretty in the valley, and then stunning San Vicente de la Barquera, with its rich past and maritime history, sitting at the mouth of an estuary.
