Arrival of the group in Marseille. Lunch. Little train ride up to the ND de la Garde basilica, the "Bonne Mère des Marseillais" ("Good Mother of Marseille inhabitants", literally) with a great panoramic view of the Phocean city. Ride down to the Old Harbour. Free time in the Panier neighbourhood. Dinner of the group. Lodging.

D2 Calanques de Cassis and Pagnol's homeland (55 km)

Excursion in Cassis, a fishermen village set high up between the hills and the Mediterrannean Blue shades. Boat ride in the mythical rocky inlets. Drive to Aubagne, lunch of the group and exploration of the 200 santons (Provence figures) of Marcel Pagnol's Little World.
