* France - Normandy and Brittany

Free time to explore Caen. Then we carry on along the « Cote Fleurie » and its seaside resorts. Guided visit by tourist train of Deauville and the famous « planches », wooden boards lining the beachfront promenade. We go through Trouville and Honfleur then stop for lunch. Free time in Lisieux to visit the basilica, then on via the Cider Route to Crevecoeur en Auge and the typical village of Beuvrons, where we stop to taste the cider and calvados. Dinner and overnight.

We head for St Lo. to the National Stud where 7 breeds of stallion are raised. Guided visit of a traditional "andouilles de Vire " factory (chitterlings sausage) and tasting. Lunch before we continue to Villedieu les Poeles. The Bell Foundry here is one of the last still in activity and we take a guided tour. Continue on to Granville, the "Monaco of the North" and its citadel built on a rocky promontory. Dinner and overnight.

Visit to the vast sand flats of the Bay of Mont St Michel with an audio commentary to better understand the phenomena which gave rise to the formation and the evolution of Mont St Michel, a huge granite island in the middle of the bay. After lunch you are free to explore this "Wonder of the Western World"  and visit the Abbey, which towered over 12th century Europe from her 80m high rock. Dinner and overnight.

Leave for St Malo. Guided visit by tourist train within the walls of the "cite corsaire", famous for its piracy. Free time to explore then lunch. Onwards to Cancale via the hand sculpted rocks of Rotheneuf and wild Grouin headland, from where the panorama extends along the whole coast. Guided visit of an oyster farm (oyster tasting for an additional charge ). Dinner and overnight.
