* Spain - Andalusia - coach tour

Journey down towards Andalusia. Lunch in Alicante before continuing to Elche which has Europe's biggest palm grove and then on to Almeria. Dinner and overnight in the region.

We set off for Granada, a town strongly influenced by Arab culture, as our guided tour of the town will reveal. Famous monuments include the Alhambra Palace, an old Moorish fortress complex where we find the gorgeous Generalife Gardens (tours dependent on availability). On then to the Costa del Sol. Check-in to our hotel in the Torremolinos region. Dinner and overnight.

Today we explore the Andalusian capital, Seville, with a guided tour taking in the massive cathedral, its towering free standing belfry "La Giralda" (exterior) and the Alcazar fortress. Lunch and free time to enjoy the city before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Free time to visit Ronda, one of Spain's most ancient cities and cradle of bullfighting: divided by the Tajo gorge there are two parts to the city, the compact « Ciudad », or old town perched on the cliff top, and the « Mercadillo » or more modern part. After lunch we drive to the exclusive seaside resort of Marbella, with its chic Puerto Banus harbour full of super yachts. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Guided tour of Cordoba, once a huge town and Caliphate, under Arab rule. Its most famed for its impressive Mosque-Cathedral, with its arched stone pillars inside, but also the old district, with its whitewashed houses, and the Alcazar fortress. Lunch then time at your leisure to admire the architecture before we continue to Andujar and Bailén. Dinner and overnight in the Bailen area.

We set off on the return journey heading for Valencia via Albacete, where we stop to enjoy a paella lunch. On then to the Costa Dorado. Dinner and overnight in the Salou area.
