Free morning to enjoy London or perhaps do some shopping. Transfer direction the train station of St Pancras for your Travel with the Eurostar to Calais. After that transfer with a coach to Lille. Check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Tour of the old town of Lille taking in the main historic monuments, where flamboyant coloured house fronts in the huge main square serve as reminders of Lille’s heyday. Free time for Lunch. The route to the Flanders hills Via Bailleul, a town with typically Flemish architecture such as the Town Hall and belfry. Guided visit of a brewery followed by beer tasting. Dinner and overnight.
Visit the Flanders Textile Museum of Roubaix to discover two centuries’ knowledge of textile making. During the course of the visit, former weavers will reveal their expertise. Free time for lunch. On to Lewarde where we visit the historic Mining Centre set up on a former pit plunging you into the history of the mine and the miners. Dinner. Overnight.
Direction Amiens, then you will enjoy your boat trip in “les hortillonages d’Amiens” across wonderful gardens. Free time for Lunch. Continue to Paris, check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Sightseeing tour of the main historical sights in Paris including the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower. Free time for lunch. Down to the riverbanks for a trip along the Seine in one of the famous open topped “bateau mouche”. Dinner and overnight.
Tourist train ride up to the Place du Tertre and time to wander in Montmartre. After that free time for Lunch. Visit to the Opera Garnier, masterpiece of the Second Empire period, with its famed red and gold auditorium, and ceiling frescoes painted by Chagall. Then free time to do some shopping in the big department stores. Dinner and overnight.
Visit of the Versailles palace with its Hall of Mirrors and stately royal apartments. Free time for lunch. Arrive in Paris. Visit to the Marais district and its famous square, the Place des Vosges. Dinner and overnight.
