Lunch in Kientzheim. Then visit the Alsace Wine Museum followed by a commentated tasting of 4 Sigille Quality Label wines in the prestigious chateau of the St Etienne Brotherhood. Attendance at a traditional Sigille Quality Label Award Ceremony in the castle wine cellar, in full traditional garb, is optional. Dinner and overnight.
A journey along the Alsace Wine Route passing through some of the prettiest old villages - Ammerschwihr, picturesque Riquewihr, Ribeauville, Bergheim...learn about vinification processes from harvest to bottle, in the company of your expert wine guide. Visit an estate for some tasting with a commentary on the local grape varieties. Local style lunch. Dinner and overnight.
Rendez-vous at a local wine producer's where a horse drawn carriage awaits to take you at a sedentary pace through the country lanes and vineyards. Taste a selection of the Alsace "Grands Crus" before a hearty buffet style picnic in the countryside.
