Lunch near Bergerac before heading for Port Ste Foy. The Museum of the River and Wines celebrates bygone times of the Batellerie and the region, in the days when the flow of the Dordogne River, and the wine growers' activities governed the pace of life. A chance to taste some local wines, then dinner and overnight.
A tour of the some of the most prestigious vineyards of the Medoc in the company of your wine expert, and a chance to discover the secrets of the wine-making process through the different stages, and the gustatory characteristics of a "Grand Cru Classe". Local style lunch. Dinner and overnight.
Guided visit of the Cadillac Chateau whose enormous fireplaces and painted ceilings bear witness to long gone 17th century splendours, and also the castle's other past life as a prison! Stop at the Closiere domaine, one time monastery, for a tasting session of AOC Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux and Cadillac sweet white wines. Lunch
