Lunch in Amsterdam followed by a guided tour of the capital. Built on the banks of the rivers Li and Amstel, a network of some hundred sand islets are linked by a thousand bridges. Free time to explore the floating flower market on one of Amsterdam's oldest canals, an institution since 1862. Tulips of all sorts, bulbs, dwarf cypresses and exotic plants from Easter Island - the choice is quite incredible. Dinner and overnight in the region of Amsterdam.
Direction Appeltern where you link up with your guide over a coffee and cake welcome. Visit the park where 180 miniature gardens are laid out over some 13 hectares. Horticulturists, furniture, fountain and garden accessory designers have worked around a different theme for each model and the result is a mine of ideas for visitors. Lunch in the gardens then time to profit from gardening and flower arranging lessons. Dinner and overnight.
An early start for Aalsmeer where you enjoy a guided tour of the world's biggest flower market. Every day 20 million flowers and 2 million plants arrive from the four corners of the globe for auction to the highest bidder before being delivered far and wide to the wholesalers warehouses. Lunch.
