D1 Marrakesh (20 km)
Arrive in Marrakesh, lying at the foot of the Atlas mountains. Lunch then a tour of the Imperial city : Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, the Saadien Tombs, the Djemaa El Fna square. Enjoy some refreshments in the form of Mint Tea and Moroccan Pastries. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
D2 Smells and Tastes of the Orient (40 km)
An early start to the day in the company of your local guide to visit the souks of Marrakesh, and a chance to choose your ingredients in the fruit and vegetable markets, fresh fish stalls but also spice, garlic and olive oil stands. Cookery lesson on Oriental flavours. Lunch is the opportunity to taste your creations. Then a visit to the Majorelle Garden where plants from the five continents of the globe are on display in a fairytale setting. Free time to enjoy the sunset on the huge, and hugely animated, Jemaa el Fna square. Dinner and overnight.
D3 Essaouira (360 km)
Guided day excursion to the old Mogadur. Explore Essaouira, its medina with its mediaeval architecture, the port, the fish market, the spice and incense stores, and the souks where Thuya wood objects are crafted. Fish and seafood lunch. Then time for a stroll through the Medina or along the seafront. Dinner and overnight. If you wish, you may attend a dinner show of local folklore in one of the Medina's palaces.
D4 Marrakesh
Morning at leisure. An optional extra is a horse-drawn carriage ride in Marrakesh's Palm Grove. Lunch.
