Start of the visit with the Cathedral Notre-Dame of Reims. Majestic Jewel of Gothic art, is an architectural marvel whose beauty overwhelms you at first sight. This masterpiece of the thirteenth century is unique in its unity of style, its stained glass and its statuary including the emblematic Angel with Smile. The baptism of Clovis towards the year 500 and the 25 kings of the Kings of France in this high-place of prestige and history gave the city the name of the City of the Sacred.

Visit of the Palace of Tau. Used to host the coronation ceremonies of the kings of France, today the Palace of Tau – the former palace of the Archbishop of Rheims – offers the memory of the cathedral and the splendor of the coronation ceremonies that took place there. Sculptures, tapestries, costumes, ornaments and gold and silver coins create an exceptional collection of treasures, dated from the Middle Ages to the nineteenth century.
Lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit a Champagne cellar to know everything about art and how to produce champagne. and tasting. At the end of the course, you will be able to savor the fruit of the work accomplished by a team of enthusiasts.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon with the free visit of the Basilica Saint Remy (subject to office). This UNESCO-protected Roman-Gothic basilica was built in the 11th century to house the holy light bulb and the remains of Saint Remi, the bishop who baptized Clovis in 498. His tomb is the center of the choir. . The sober Romanesque nave and the four-storey Gothic choir (late twelfth century) form an impressive ensemble of lightness and harmony. The facade was built at the same time as the choir.
