D1 Paris (20 km)
Welcome on arrival and transfer to Paris. Guided sightseeing tour including the Champs Elysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower, La Concorde – the capital’s largest square, the Paris Opera and the Latin Quarter. Take to the majestic River Seine to admire the city’s monuments from aboard one of the popular ‘bateau-mouche’. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
D2 Paris (20 km)
Guided tour of the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal (mass may be attended), and the ‘Ile de la Cité’, home to the capital’s famous Notre-Dame Cathedral. Lunch at your leisure then free time to explore the historic and colourful Montmartre district and the imposing Basilica of the Sacred Heart. Dinner and overnight.
D3 Paris – Dubrovnik – Medjugorje (150 km)
Transfer to Paris airport for scheduled flight to Dubrovnik. Refreshments in flight. Arrive and welcome at Dubrovnik at the start of the afternoon. Guided sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik, capital of the former maritime Republic of Ragusa, brimming with Gothic architecture such as the Rector’s Palace, Franciscan Monastery and numerous other churches and monasteries. Continue to Medjugorje and check-in to hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Since the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, Medugorje has drawn a following of Catholics from the world over and has become one of the world’s most important sites for prayer on a par with Lourdes and Fatima. The day is given over to a guided tour of the main sites including Apparition Hill, Saint James’ Church and Mount Krizevac White Cross.

D6 Medjugorje – Split – Paris – Chartres (140 km)
Journey on to Split, centred on the ancient Roman palace of the Emperor Diocletian. Explore the maze of streets and buildings within this massive historical complex and admire the Egyptian sphinx, Roman bell tower or Venetian style palace. Transfer to the airport for the return flight to Paris, and then travel on to Chartres to visit the magnificent 13th century Cathedral with its grand pavement labyrinth, a path of prayer and meditation for Christians today. Mass may be attended. Check-in to your hotel in the Chartres region. Dinner and overnight.
D7 Mont Saint Michel (290 km)
Continue to the Mont Saint Michel, often referred to as the Wonder of the Western World. Bishop Aubert of Avranches founded a sanctuary here in 708 on the Mont Tombe, site of three successive apparitions of the Archangel Michael. Lunch at your leisure then a guided tour of the striking Mont and Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check-in to your hotel in the Mont Saint Michel region. Dinner and overnight.
D8 Caen – Lisieux (200 km)
Set off for Caen and discover the thousand-year heritage of this ‘city of a hudred steeples’. Your guided tour encompasses the ‘Men’s Abbey’, ‘Women’s Abbey’, the Ducal Castle and the Church of St Michael in Vaucelles. Lunch at your leisure then continue to Lisieux. Visit Les Buissonnets, Saint Therese’s childhood home a little outside the main town, which reveals secrets of her young existence prior to her entering the Carmelite Convent (she entered the order by her own request at the tender age of 15). Then discover Saint Peter’s Cathedral where the young Saint went to mass. Check-in to your hotel in Lisieux. Dinner and overnight.
D9 Lisieux – Paris (230 km)
Guided tour of the famous Basilica dedicated to Saint Therese, consecrated in 1954. Most of the interior of the church and the crypt are decorated with mosaics evoking the spiritual message of the Saint and her confidence in the infinite Love of God. Continue to the Carmelite Convent which houses the Saint’s reliquary. Lunch at your leisure before the return journey to Paris. Check-in to your hotel on the outskirts of the capital. Dinner and overnight.
D10 Paris – Lourdes
Choose either high-speed train, journey time c.6h15, or domestic flight to Pau.
Transfer from the train station or airport to Lourdes, the third most important Catholic place of pilgrimage after the Vatican and Guadalupe in Mexico. Check-in to your hotel then dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
D11 Holy Shrines and Sanctuaries of Lourdes
Guided tour of the Marian city of Lourdes, the Cave of the Apparitions – site of Bernadette’s visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the various different churches. Lunch may be taken at your leisure and the afternoon is free for you to explore. After dinner, take part in the Torchlight Marian Procession which sets off from the grotto. Overnight in Lourdes.
