D1 Carnac (40 km)
Lunch near Carnac. Visit the famous standing stones, dating from some 6000 years ago, one of the most important and remarkable groups in Europe comprising several thousand menhirs, dolmens and burial mounds. Dinner and overnight.
D2 Hiking on Belle Ile (90 km)
Day’s hiking on Belle Ile with a picnic lunch. From Sauzon to the Poulains headland, the views are just stunning. The island’s north coast is a string of beaches and sheltered little ports whilst the southern side, open to the Atlantic, has been fashioned by the elements. Dinner and overnight.
D3 Coastal hiking on the Quiberon Peninsular (90 km)
Follow the wild coastline of the Quiberon peninsular, dotted with ancient fishing villages and rocky outcrops. Picnic lunch, and then a visit to Quiberon itself, onetime centre for sardine fishing, and nowadays a popular seaside resort. Dinner and overnight.
D4 Vannes (10 km)
Guided tour of Vannes, sitting pretty at the mouth of the Morbihan Gulf. Within the city walls, the old mediaeval town is a charming patchwork of half-timbered houses and alleyways. Lunch.
